Distance learning technology allows a school or other institution to create a “virtual classroom” that may include students at multiple, distant locations. This allows distant students to “attend” a class that might otherwise be too far away. It also allows an instructor to teach at multiple locations at one time. A typical system includes both video and audio links between the instructor’s site and the remote classrooms. Systems can display high-resolution video (still) images to enable Power Point™ style presentations. Distance learning systems are used by schools and colleges and also by suppliers wanting to reach multiple dealers or end users with training programs.
